What do i need ?
The 1Connect service requires an IAD which is included
as part of the FREE installation. In order to take advantage of the
great rates from TALKSCAPE™ VoIP, you will need the following:
- A quality broadband connection with enough bandwidth
and data downloads for the voice traffic to use (For SPECIAL
deals on broadband services, go to www.escapenet.com.au
)
- A phone or device that allows a phone to make calls over the internet. The options are:
SOFTWARE PHONE |
A software phone allows you to make and receive
calls using your computer in conjunction with a microphone and
speakers or USB handset |
INTERNET PHONE |
An internet phone is a phone that connects to your broadband modem and allows you to make and receive calls without using a computer |
TELEPHONE ADAPTER |
A telephone adapter or ATA is a device which connects to a regular phone and your broadband connection and converts calls to go over the internet |
GATEWAY |
A gateway is similar to a telephone adapter except that it has some advanced features and can connect to many more lines |
